How To Use And Take Care Of your Lens

I just bought my new lens which is autumn grey. Shoo cantik la. Haha. And Suddenly my sis pun baru nak pakai. So this entry is for her. Special takk? :D

Tapi untuk yang mula2 nak try tu mesti lah struggle jugak kan nak cari kaler apa yang sesuai? This is only my suggestion tau xD

Some colors that suit dark skin:

  • Honey colors work perfectly they give a warm glow to the eyes!
  • An autumn color also looks great because it gives your eyes a nice seductive look if paired up with a great eyeshadow and eyeliner.
  • Misty greys and amethyst are good colors too. They have cool undertones giving your eyes a subtle but noticeable look.
  • Greens and blues are amazing colors for dark skin. Make sure not to go for the bright greens and blues as it doesn't have a very natural look. If you get darker colors, it tends to blend well with your natural colour.

Some colors that suit olive/mixed race skin:

  • Compared to dark skin tones, olive or mixed race people can go for the bright colours!
  • Bright greens are good if you are looking for a dramatic/noticeable change and they also make your eyes shine and pop, whilst giving you that natural look/glow. But if you do wear green contacts, don't wear green makeup with it as it can become overpowering and people won't notice your new contacts!
  • Even though you should go for bright colours especially you should try and avoid the bright blues! The navy blues work well though, because they blend well with the natural colour of your eyes.
  • Other colours that look fantastic are hazel, honey and grey.

Now, I would like to tell you how to wear lens.

Put the contact lens on your index finger. Note: Check to see that your contact lenses are on its proper side. If the edges are protruding outward,

then it's on the wrong side.

Using your middle finger of your other hand, you can pull the lower eyelid down.
You can then use your middle finger of the opposite hand to pull your eyelid up.

Place the contact lens in your eye, make sure not to blink. Note: put the bottom of the contact lens before the top part. Use your finger to make sure that the contact lens is fully in.

Move the contact lens towards your eye calmly and steadily. Note: It may help to look upwards. Try not to blink or move jerkily. After placing the contact lens on your eye, gently move it so it is centered over your iris.

Blink your eye to adjust the lens.

Okay, now this is the method on how to take off your lens without touching your eye :)

** Wash your hands with soap and warm water. This gets rid of any bacteria you might have on your hands that could end up being transferred onto the skin around your eye, and which could eventually cause eye infections, redness and swelling.

** Make sure there isn't any dirt under your nails either - it might even be better to cut your nails, but this isn't a must. In fact, a lot of girls who like to wear fake nails use this contact lens removal method because it saves them having to cut their nails to stop them from scratching their eyes or the lens.

** Bring your dominant hand up to one of your eyes. Use one of your fingers (the ring or the index finger are the most popular fingers to use here) to put your upper lash line back into your eye socket until the waterline is available. With your other hand use another finger to do the same to the lower lashline.

** Make sure you are pushing hard into your eye, then bring the two waterlines together by moving the bottom lash line up and the lower lash line down. Your contact lens should have been squeezed out.

Do the same with the other eye. Your contact lenses have now been removed without having to touch your eye.

WARNINGS ::

  • Do not put any thing (such as tap water) on your contacts. Specially made contact solution and tear drops are okay. Microorganisms can live in even distilled water, causing infection or sight damage.
  • Don't let the tip of solution bottles touch other surfaces, including your fingers, eyes or contact lenses. The solution can become contaminated.
  • If you experience irritation after dutifully caring for your contacts you may be allergic to your contact solution. Contact your eye doctor in order to find a different solution.
  • In brief, hygiene is the most important factor that you should take care of for having a pair of clean contact lenses. If you are not sure about the right steps of caring for your lenses, contact your eye doctor for advice.
  • Never wear another person's contact lenses, especially if they have been worn before. Using other people's contact lenses can spread any infection or particles from their eyes to yours.
  • Always remove your contacts prior to sleeping unless you are prescribed extended wear contacts by your doctor. Sleeping with your contacts in may save time but it can cause a corneal ulcer on your eye! With sensitive eyes it will affect you immediately, causing pain and aversion to light the next day, but it will catch up to others in the end. If you must simply throw away your contacts before you go to sleep. If you have a sterile container and contact solution this is a good substitute for a case. If you forget you may have to wear sunglasses (keep a prescription pair handy) the next day. It may be difficult to wear your contacts the day after.
  • You should have glasses just in case something happens to your contacts.
  • Visit your eye doctor immediately if you have any degree of sudden vision loss, blurred vision, light flashes, eye pain, infection, swelling, unusual redness, or irritation.
  • Try to put your contacts in over a desk or counter so if you drop it, then it won't go on the floor and you can find it. Always rinse contacts after they have fallen.
  • Wearing contact lenses may cause your eyes to become more sensitive to sunlight. Wear sunglasses with total UV protection and/or a wide brim hat when in the sun.
  • Do not go cooking, BBQ or whatever it is using contact lens.
  • Change you solution and lens case every 3 month.
  • Don not use eye mo as ubat titis bila mata kering, it will make your eyes dries even more! Pakai ubat titik khas for lens kat kedai banyak je jual.
  • WASH YOUR HANDS before and after touching lens (whether wearing or take it off) is always important!
Nah. This is mine :

Selamat Mencuba! :D
